What We Do
The Madrassatul Khayri is located in Kaolack, Senegal. It was founded in 2008, purchased and designated as a waqf (endowment for Islamic Cause) with the sole purpose of teaching Allah’s deen. It is run by GIE Taneef Solidarité Pour l’Éducation et le Developpement, a registered company (N.I.N.E.A.: 008398845) supporting education and development initiatives and projects also based in Kaolack. Madrassatul Khayri is the first of many schools which will be opened in the future to provide young generations with a solid spiritual foundation and an introduction to the professional world.
The school is currently developing and relies on charitable donations. In 2020, a new building was purchased in order to provide the students with an adequate and more comfortable space for learning. The building is currently undergoing major renovations. With the generous help of donors, we hope that works will be completed soon so that our students will be able to benefit from a safe and encouraging learning space. Learn how you can help us here.
While the main focus of the school is the teaching and learning of the Qur’an, the project is holistic in its approach and aims at providing its students with a complete education including foreign languages, agriculture, bakery. We are in the process of developing our Curriculum. Take a look here!

The Importance of The Qu’ran in This Time
The Qur’an is the rope of Allah, and now, more than ever, it is of utmost importance to hold on to that rope by teaching, reciting and studying it, for us and our children to become stronger and be able to face the trials we will meet. The people of Qur’an are the people of Allah.

Madrassatul Khayri is and will continue to be a blessing for our ummah. The students learn, love and truly embody the teachings of the Qur’an. When Allah blesses me with children, I hope to send them to Madrassatul Khayri to learn Qur’an insha’Allah.

Madrassatul Khayri is a place of tawfiq and baraka. Its inward spiritual gems will decorate its students’ hearts for life.
